What is the gospel of Jesus Christ?

Gospel is a term which simply means “good news”. As commonly used, it refers to the telling of the story of the life, teachings, physical death and ensuing resurrection of Jesus Christ, with a focal point on human salvation from the condemnation awaiting sinful human beings. It is often used synonymously with the preaching of the good news that human beings can be saved from condemnation deserved them, by trusting in, or having faith, in the person of Jesus Christ.
